"Neighborhood Stabilzation Program"

There is good news amongst all the negative these days. An NBC report explained how there's been Federal money for the last 4 years .... an amount of $4 billion to help middle income home buyers purchase homes. Some homes have been foreclosed on and are now being offered at a significant discount, compared to 3-5 years ago.

A realistic example of how this is taking affect was seen in reporting on a single mom and her two sons moving into their first home after living in apartments for years with no yard. She was given assistance through the "Neighborhood Stabilization Program" in order to help with the down payment through low-interest loans, along with move-in money for immediate repair costs.
"The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) provides grants to every state and certain local communities to purchase foreclosed or abandoned homes and to rehabilitate, resell, or redevelop these homes in order to stabilize neighborhoods and stem the decline of house values of neighboring homes."

Again, a shocking revelation about how mismanaged our government has been for the last 10-30 years! What will be revealed in the next 10-30 years will probably be just as shocking....
